AppMap

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: June 2026

Permitted use

AppMap is built for mapping and visualizing the technology stack of your own application. It's intended for personal and professional use by solo founders, freelancers, and small teams — including the engineers, designers, and operators they collaborate with.

Prohibited activities

When using AppMap, you must not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service or any part of it without our prior written permission.
  • Use the service to store, host, or transmit illegal content.
  • Impersonate another user, person, or organization.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise circumvent the security measures or technical limits of the service.
  • Create accounts for automated, bot, or non-human use, except where we have given explicit permission (for example, an official API integration).

Content standards

Stack data you enter into AppMap should describe real software tools, services, and components. Do not enter personal data of third parties (names, contact details, identifiers) into stack fields — those fields are not intended to hold personal information about other people.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice, at our discretion. Accounts terminated for policy violations are not eligible for a refund of fees already paid.

Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using AppMap in a way that breaks this policy, email legal@empoweredsolutions.ltd with as much detail as you can share. We review every report.
