Who we are

AppMap (accessible at solostack.live) is a product operated by Empowered Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect when you use AppMap, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

What data we collect

We collect a deliberately small amount of data:

• Account data: your email address (and, if you sign in with a provider like Google, the basic profile info that provider shares).
• App stack data: the services, nodes, and maps you create or save inside AppMap.
• Usage analytics: aggregated, privacy-friendly metrics about which pages and features are used, to help us improve the product.
• Payment data: if you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by Paddle. Paddle handles your card details — we never see or store them. We receive a subscription identifier and status so we know whether your account is active.

How we use your data

We use the data above to:

• Provide and operate the AppMap service and your account.
• Send transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts, important account notices). We do not send marketing email without consent.
• Improve the product based on aggregated usage data.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues.

Where your data is stored

Your account and app stack data is stored in Supabase, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. Backups are kept on the same infrastructure.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to run AppMap. Each of them only receives the data they need to do their job:

• Paddle — payments and subscription management. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for AppMap purchases and handles billing, taxes, and card data.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage for your account and map data.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails such as sign-in links and receipts.
• PostHog or Plausible — privacy-friendly product analytics so we can understand how AppMap is used in aggregate.

Your rights

You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Data retention

We retain your account and app stack data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will permanently delete your account data within 30 days of the request. Some records (such as billing records held by Paddle) may be retained longer where required by law.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
